Noccalula Falls Park AL Located in Gadsden, Noccalula Falls Park is a very unique place that's in the middle of a city. The sound of the 90-foot falls is soothing and inspiring. The 280-acre park features picnic tables, botanical gardens, campgrounds and much more.

AL Langdon Park is a lovely tree-shaded park in Mobile, Alabama, with a bridge across a small lake leading to the Art Museum. This is a beautiful place for a walk, especially on Sunday afternoons when the Society for Creative Anachronism is out in full force, practicing their sword fighting. The grounds of the Mobile Museum of Art, linked by a bridge across a pretty little lake, are especially beautiful with open-air sculptures of all kinds.

Aside from picnics, you can enjoy countless activities in the huge park, including bicycling, hiking and more. A great picnic spot is at the Griffith Observatory, which has a great view of Los Angeles.

Elizabeth Park CT Elizabeth Park is a versatile place that's great for everything from weddings to walks and, of course, picnics. There are a variety of picnic spots at the park, including spots on the grassy lawns or at the rose garden. While this is a perfect picnic site to relax, it's also great for romantic outings.
Bradley Point Park CT This is one of the best spots to picnic in Connecticut because it affords great views. You can have a picnic directly on the beach, in grassy fields or on the benches and tables. It has a 1.7-mile waterfront walkway, making this a perfect date area.
National Sculpture Garden DC The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden is only about 15 years old, but it's quickly shot up the ranks in terms of great picnic spots. Aside from the sculptures, you can time your picnic to coincide with one of the jazz events to hear amazing music. For food, there's a cafe and plenty of vendors, but you can always bring your own and set up a nice picnic in the garden.

FL Greynolds Park is a beautiful park with tree-covered paths, lakes and elevation changes. It's a fun place to have a picnic because it's peaceful, full of wildlife and free on weekdays.

Miami, FL
FL This park is really awesome for a picnic. If you are going to the beach and Marina area you have to pay the fees for the park, but if you just want to have a picnic you can stay outside where there are nature trails, canals, cabanas with BBQ grills, lots of old Florida Oak trees and plenty of shade. Your kids can play safely with their bikes on the trails or play ball on the grass. If you head over to the beach area there are also picnic spots near the man-made lagoon that the youngsters love. Don't miss this park.
Callaway Gardens GA Callaway Gardens was created to benefit mankind, and it's succeeded. There's so much to do and so much joy to be had at Callaway Gardens. For picnicking, there are spots in the Meadowlark Garden, in front of the Sibley Horticultural Center, overlooking Robin Lake Beach and in a few other places

GA Chattahoochee River Environmental Education Center is a nature center with an outdoor pavilion and picnic tables. It's a great location because it's right by the Chattahoochee River.
Bethesda Park
Bethesda, GA
GA It's a big park with recreational facilities all around it. There are three or four playgrounds for the kids to play on. They also have a basketball court. It's big and has a lot or picnic areas everywhere.
Valdosta State University Campus

GA The front lawn of the campus at Valdosta State University Campus is beautiful. The scenery makes it a great place to picnic.
Winder, GA
GA This is a great place for having picnics because the scenery is beautiful, it's relatively quiet, and there are plenty of trees to keep you shaded from the sun. The state park also has playgrounds, hiking trails and a large 260-acre lake.
Ballground, GA
GA Built around the historic Poole's Mill covered bridge, this is a natural area with picnic areas and playground. The bridge is over a nice little creek, and it's not all ballfields like many parks in the area. It's a beautiful spot with running water, a little walking trail and a playground for the kids. You can rent the pavilion for $75 for an event, or just use the picnic tables.

Kakaako Waterfront Park HI It's not unfair to categorize this park as a hidden gem because it's rarely too crowded by tourists or even locals. The park has picnic tables along with great open spaces perfect for picnickers who like to spread out. There are enough amenities at the park, like bathrooms and water fountains, to make your picnic pleasant. Also, you can't beat the gorgeous views of the ocean. This is a prime spot for surfing for a little surfing and picnicking.

Millenium Park IL Fewer places are more iconic than Millennium Park and it's one of the most popular tourists spots in Chicago. There are a ton of picnic spots throughout the park, but if you get the chance, opt for the Running Table, which is a 100-foot long picnic table made of recyclable materials.

City Park LA City Park is like the Central Park of New Orleans, but it's a lot more raw. The best picnic spots are at the southern end of the park, and if you get the chance, you should try to set up a picnic at the Peristyle, which overlooks the water. The east side is heavily wooded. Walking/jogging paths run all around and through the entire park. Mission Street, to the north, is fairly heavily trafficked, but the park is so large that it's easy to get away from that bustle and relax in the green open spaces.
