Gerber Dime Travel, Bladeless

The Dime Travel takes GerberâÃôs clever mini keychain multi-tool and adds features for use during and after air travel. This is a bladeless keychain multi-tool, making it safe for use in facilities with a no-knife standard, as well as for the airport security line. It suspends neatly from a keychain and provides resource for a wide swath of problem-solving potential. With its series of useful tools, including spring-loaded needle nose pliers, the tiny, lightweight Dime spins out assistance as needed. SPRING-LOADED PLIERS For people who rely on a multi-tool, the carefully selected range of the Dime TravelâÃôs tool series is a recognizable asset. In addition to stainless steel pliers and wire cutters that elegantly butterfly open, thereâÃôs a set of spring-loaded scissors, medium and small flat drivers, tweezers, a bottle opener that is exposed even when the tool is closed, and a fine and coarse file. The stand-out addition to this travel-friendly version of the classic Gerber Dime is the evolutionary zipper hook, which attaches to a broken luggage zipper in a pinch. PRECISION ENGINEERING While this is a keychain multi-tool, the Dime Travel doesnâÃôt skimp on elegance in design. From the smooth butterfly open of its sturdy needle nose pliers to the well engineered, comfortably ergonomic handles, the lithe Dime Travel is at the ready to manage obstacles. Pocket this cool little multi-tool whenever youâÃôre headed out of town.

In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades®. The unique style and high quality manufacturing of Gerber cutlery soon developed wide spread acclaim. In fact, Gerber Legendary Blades are the only cutlery on display in New YorkÂs famous Museum of Modern Art.
From very early on, Gerber collaborated with top knife designers, setting a standard of quality for everyone else to follow. Renowned designers such as Al Mar, Bob Loveless, Paul Poehlmann, "Blackie" Collins, William Harsey Jr. and Ernest Emerson have all designed knives for Gerber. In 2002 this tradition continued as Gerber released the Silver TridentÂ, designed by Chief James "Patches" Watson (U.S.N. Ret.) and Bill Harsey Jr.
Today, Gerber continues to design and manufacture unique, high quality outdoor recreation products. In 2003 we are proud to introduce the next generation of multi-tools: the Recoil Auto-Plier. By constantly utilizing new technology and innovative design to develop new products, Gerber continues to be an industry leader.
